Mission: As co-creators of global reality, all world citizens, rich and poor are called into partnership to work on our common responsibility: to bring the world to justice with peace and a sustainable, restored global ecology. Within this context, the mission of Women's Empowerment Partnership (WEP) is to form respectful partnerships with poor communities to develop the skills, support services, education, economic base and infrastructure they need to rise out of poverty. We work with one community at a time until that community is able to create a durable, diverse, sustainable economic base and infrastructure under itself. WEP provides skills training, support services (health care and dental care), youth education, support for the elderly, and economic and infrastructure development. Once Teosinte's economic base is firmly established and adequate housing, sanitation systems, potable water, ability of families to pay for the education of their children, and health care is available as well as preventive health services, WEP will go on to work with another community.
